What happens if I am stopped by law enforcement, and I have my medical cannabis in my possession?

If stopped, there will be a verification process to ensure you are a registered medical cannabis patient in our state. The law does not authorize you to use medical cannabis in a public place or in a motor vehicle. The law does not prevent you from civil, criminal or other penalties because you are a registered medical cannabis patient. Miss. Code Ann. § 41-137-29.
