Patient Allotment Guidance

In accordance with SB 2857: as of July 1, 2024, Mississippi Medical Cannabis Units are governed only by a 30-day, rolling limit. 

The maximum number of units available in any 30-day period is 24 MMCEUs. If a patient has units available in their 30-day allotment, they will be able to purchase the remaining amount at one time. This change did not "reset" current 30-day allotments. The state seed-to-sale program will still account for all purchases made in the past 30 rolling days. 

*The rolling limit is not based on calendar months, or when a patient card was obtained. It is accounting for all purchases made in the past, 30-24 hour periods. 

Examples of when purchases "fall-off" the 30-day limit:

Ex #1: If a purchase was made 30 days ago., those units will drop off the 30-day limit at the same exact time(today).

Ex #2: If a purchase was made today at 10:15 a.m., those units will drop off the 30-day limit (30 days in the future) at the same exact time.

​**A patient may have a maximum of 28 MMCEUs in their possession.
