Is a background check required to be a designated caregiver?

Yes. Individuals intending to serve as a registered caregiver to patient participants of the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program are required to have a background check conducted by the MSDH Fingerprinting Unit. Miss. Code Ann. § 41-137-23.
